Red Wine Audio Announces New “Budget-friendly” Components

Value-priced Signature 15 integrated amp and Corvina headphone amplifier broaden market for company’s unique line of hi-fi products, featuring premium LiFePO4 battery technology.

October 14, 2011 • Room #1009, Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, Denver, CO • Red Wine Audio, manufacturer of battery-powered purist hi-fi products, debuts two new “budget-friendly” components.

100% true to Red Wine Audio technology & sonic performance

In many cases, when it comes to sonic performance, mid-fi customers are forced to settle for much less than fellow music lovers who may have fatter wallets. But with Red Wine Audio’s newly announced products, this is simply not the case…

“Our new value-offering is 100% Red Wine Audio,” says Vinnie Rossi, President of Red Wine Audio. Like their higher-end siblings, the new products:

So how do they differ from their big brothers and sisters?

“With Signature 15 and Corvina we’ve made our Red Wine Audio ‘sound’ available to a much larger population of consumers,” says Rossi. Adding, “Rather than compromise performance, we choose to take out a feature here and there and move to lower cost enclosures. But when it comes to sound quality, these components are the real thing,” he adds.

The company also offers 100% trade-up credit toward select Red Wine Audio components, protecting their customers’ investment should they upgrade their systems down the road.

Product specifics

Signature 15 Integrated Amplifier: $1,500

Owners of high-efficiency speakers often know – when it comes to listening pleasure – sound quality trumps raw power. For this audience, the Signature 15 is a must audition… even for audiophiles prepared to invest much more on amplification…

“The Signature 15 compares very well sonically with our Signature 30.2, but sells for half the price,” says Rossi. Adding, “If 15wpc into 8 ohms will do the job (or 30wpc into 4 ohms), the Signature 15 is an unbeatable value!” The company backs this up with a 30-day return policy, so their customers know they’ve made the right decision.

Corvina Headphone Amplifier: $1,000 - $1,500

Top-shelf headphone products have become Red Wine Audios fastest growing market segment. Their offering in this space range from $2,500 - $3,950 (including an integral Isabellina DAC).

“For headphone listeners who already own a DAC and are willing to give up a few nice-to-have features, Covina is a tremendous buy,” says Rossi. Adding, “Covina is the exact same headphone amplifier offered in our flagship Isabellina HPA, but a steal at $1,500 including balanced outputs!”

For those who don’t plan to drive balanced headphones, Covina is available with single-end outputs for $1,000 – a savings of $1,500 compared to a single-end HPA.

Availability

Both new products can be heard at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, in Suite #1009. Customer units begin shipping later this month, with lead-times subject to backorder based on demand.
